Is the event kid friendly?

Yes the festival caters for all ages. There are many things that the children can get involved in over the weekend.

 

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes All venues have ramps for access. 

 

Is the event dog friendly?

With our wide open spaces, it makes our festival friendly for all. Carinda being a rural and remote town makes it ideal for long walks with your dogs. It is advised to bring a leash though for the times you need to make sure they stay around your camp site.

Does Carinda have phone services?

Carinda is on the Telstra network only. All other phone providers do not work in Carinda. It is advised that if you need to use your phone over the weekend that you purchase a prepaid Telstra sim card to use before you get here. 

What accommodation is available?

The Carinda pub has all types of rooms, but it is advisable to book early as it fills quickly. Camping is the go for the weekend. Bring your van, camper, tent, swag for a night or two under the stars. There is NO powered sites available. Sites are free with the purchase of a festival ticket, this needs to be visible on the dash of your vehicle at all times during the festival weekend. Sites are allocated on a first in first served basis and if space becomes unavailable campers will be directed to the Carinda racecourse which is situated in walking distance from the festival. There are toilets and showers at the racecourse.

Glamping Tents are available and can be booked when tickets are opened.

There are toilets and showers at the camp sites, at the pool and park.

 

Is there fuel? 

Yes Carinda has 24/7 card operated fuel. NO cash fuel purchases.

 

Is there Eftpos or an ATM?

The Carinda Pub and the Far West Store have eftpos but very limited cash out. There is an ATM machine at the Carinda Hotel. But Iit is advisable to cash up in the larger towns as you come through. Walgett, Coonamble Warren and Dubbo. We do have eftpos facilities at the festival.

What Food is available?

The Carinda Service Station has limited stocks of grocery items. The pub does meals, The Serviec Station does burger and the Far West Store does coffees and slices, cakes, sausage rolls, and pies during the day.

During the festival there will be plenty of food vans available. If you are looking to bring your own food supply, it would be advisable to stock up and support local business in one of the bigger towns like Walgett, Coonamble or Warren as you travel through.

 

Will there be any merchandise?

Yes most certainly. There are caps, stubby holders, small festival prints, and more.
